Forty Years and Going Strong
In forty years, Holland Imports Inc. has grown from a single hardware store into Canada’s largest independent wholesale distributor servicing over 2500 retailers worldwide. With warehouses in Western Canada and sales staff coast to coast, the company imports and distributes hardware, outdoor furniture, gardening tools and Christmas products. Their Customers range from owner managed retailers to multi store national chains. This family owned and operated business continues to serve a growing market where customers are consolidating rapidly.
Holland Imports Inc. has always put its Customers first, and continues to forge strong relationships with its suppliers. The company has also demonstrated a long tradition of responsible and active community involvement.
It was always a given that the oldest sons and daughters of the founders would be active in the business. However, other second generation family members are now joining the business after completing their education and gaining significant experience outside the family business. Third generation family members work in the business when they are not studying and many will join the business after they gain outside experience. This continuity and broad experience base bodes well for the future of Holland Imports Inc.
